Gina is most well-known for making upskirting a specific sexual offence in England & Wales (The Voyeurism Act, 2019), with three countries following suit in response. She also worked for Nyome Nicholas Williams to change global discriminatory Instagram policy in 2020 that was censoring plus-sized Black women (#IWantToSeeNyome).
She has won numerous awards including TIME’s 100Next Influential People , Evening Standard’s 1000 Most Influential People In London, Cosmopolitan's Disrupter of the Year, Stylist Magazine’s Remarkable Women of the Year, and The Praeses Elit Award. She rejected an OBE during the Queen's Birthday Honours 2020, citing the history and violence of the British Empire.
